At some point in life, most people wish they had done something they instead passed up. There aren’t really times in my life that I would go back and redo. However the question I ask myself is what would I’ve done differently during this past year? The first half of the year was more or less perfect since I started a new, very interesting job besides my study and finished my Bachelor’s degree with excellent success. Well, let’s have a look at the current second half. I would have chosen another university in America to study abroad, because I can’t identify myself with this remote rural area in Wisconsin. Even though I really like to be in the nature and love out-of-doors activities I prefer to live in a bigger town. I like the campus and the people here in Eau Claire, but I should have chosen a university situated somewhere in or around a bigger city. Moreover I should have looked more carefully into the courses I selected at UWEC. I would have chosen more Business classes if I knew what I know now. In spite of that, I think that I’ve had time to think about my future life here at UWEC and therefore I can say that I definitely know what I want to do and reach in my future life. I am not the person who wants to have a big house with garden, marry and then have children. If I wouldn’t have had the possibility to study here at UWEC I might haven’t detected this. To sum it up, the last year was a great year since I really know now what I want to do with my future life.

Guess who this person could be?
In this post, I want to deliver a short insight into the future life of one of our classmates.
In ten years from now as the point in time, she had studied Accounting at the University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire for a couple of years. After this awesome experience, she went back to China to start a successful career at a big company. On her arrival back in her home country, her mum, who had been sad all over the last time, was already waiting at the airport.
In the meanwhile, she's been married for one year and will have born twins by November 2020. Although, she will have kept being of slim body and wearing her yellow hair clip. She would love having three children since she has never had siblings.
She has really improved her English with the aid of the ESL classes and she’s dreaming about returning to the United States to show her family where she has spent an important part of her life.
Do you know which person I am talking about?

1. Blog Entry
Tell about some expactations that you had for this first week of school? Describe some things that actually happened this first week of school? Was anything surprising? What are some things that you expect to happen next week?
My first week here at UWEC was really exciting. I got to know so many people from different countries and the cordinators of the orientation week for International students were so keen to help everybody. I hadn't had really high expactations for this first time and because of that I think it was such a great start for me here in Eau Claire.
I didn't know that American students get so much homework, which was really surprising for me. I had thought that the university system, except the campus life around, would be nearly the same as in Austria, but it isn't. Usually in Austria I take about ten and more classes every semester and here I am taking only five. After my first week of school at UWEC I dropped one of my classes, because didn't have enough time to do all my assignments. The professors in Austria are more reserved and no Austrian professor would tell you that you're allowed to adress him with his first name. The acquaintance with each other is more formal in Austria. I hope that I'll get used to the huge amount of homework and that I am going to improve my English knowledge as well as possible, especially my active vocabulary and my pronuncation.
Concluding I want to state that I really like the manner in which American people act with each other and their way of dealing with foreigners.
